Student 1948-52, Royal Academy of Music, where his teachers included William Alwyn and Eric Thiman, and Russell Chester for piano. Fellow 1967. Former director of music, Charterhouse School. Conductor, Leith Hill Musical Festival, Petersfield Music Festival. Chairman, Royal Society of Church Music in the Devon area. Winner of the Stewart Macpherson Prize, RAM, 1949. |
